Our story began six years ago in an old workplace. Tomislav then took photos as a hobby for several years, and I was still studying. When we decided to start a life story together, Tomislav began to photograph actively, I joined him. After a few months, we started our adventure photographing weddings all over Europe. The hobby grew into Tomislav’s business. I never dreamed that Tomislav would propose to me in my favorite city, London, the day after a beautiful wedding in a nearby village, Hampshire. We always have a rollercoaster and go with the flow lifestyle.

After a few years, circumstances changed. Tomislav stayed in the photographic world, and I got a job in the profession and became a clinical embryologist. No matter what, I can say that I will always be a part of the Marcijuš Studio story. All the best that happened for that brand we created together. Tomislav continued to create with new colleagues. One of them, our friend Marko Dukić, was our wedding photographer.

We’ve always thought we’d know what it’s like to be a bride and groom because we’ve really accumulated a lot of experience over the years. When our wedding day came, we knew nothing more. Totally different energy that we thought would be known to us. Then you realize that the emotions of your loved ones and your best friends are not the same as the emotions you see in the photos you edit.

We have to admit that the organization was more accessible because we know the industry well. We knew from day one what we wanted and how to approach everything. Tomislav had to organize and adjust the schedule with over twenty couples and was a little tired because due to the postponement of our wedding also. It’s really not easy because, of course, everyone’s wedding is most important. To shorten that less beautiful period and go back to our day when we realized everything and celebrated the wedding with our closest people.

We had a hundred guests, and we wanted to personalize the details to make each guest feel comfortable and make the day beautiful and fun. We love elegant style with a touch of minimalism. So we wanted to incorporate decoration and details from our everyday life. Sculptures, moderate gold details, simple white flowers, beige, gray, and white tones were the main foundation of everything. I hope that some details from these photos will help you organize your day easier.

We had a ceremony in the Concathedral of St. Peter and Paul in Osijek. We saw each other for the first time just before the ceremony. It was a precious twenty minutes that went by like two minutes. After that, all the guests greeted us with confetti and congratulated us. Before we went to the Ballroom, we did a short session with the rented Jaguar. It happened at the last minute, entirely spontaneously, and that car was like some final touch. European Avenue in Osijek is always a good backdrop for a love story and atmosphere. Thanks to our families, friends, and above people, we had our day, the most beautiful and just as we imagined. We ended this part of our story a few weeks later in Budapest, which has a special meaning. Many of the most beautiful stories and adventures come from that city.

These photos can be an inspiration or an idea for a wedding in Osijek. This post is also related to vendors who were part of our day, and without whom, the organization of weddings in this part of Croatia would not be the same. I can now say that I have experienced a complete wedding story both as a photographer and as a client. It’s not the same thing, and it’s not the same feeling, much less when it goes through a pandemic with the whole organization. Perhaps this text will also serve as an example for future weddings.
